Dallas Cowboys star offensive lineman Tyron Smith is back and ready to roll after a season-ending injury during the 2020 NFL campaign. The former Trojans star has been one of the most consistent players in the NFL for the past decade, and he doesn’t plan on hanging it up anytime soon.
With NFL training camps in full force and the regular season a few weeks away, Smith is already showing out in camp. After missing time due to elbow tendinitis, he made his return to the practice field in a triumphant way. He sent a very strong message not just to the defensive players on the Cowboys’ roster, and not just to his fellow offensive linemen, but to the rest of the league and anyone who is monitoring training camp: He hasn’t lost the touch. Not in the slightest.
Just ask Randy Gregory, who was a recipient of a nasty block by Smith during the padded practice portion of training camp.

Shortly after being given another 90+ rating in the newest Madden release, Smith did this to Randy Gregory. It’s absolutely filthy. Smith being back healthy and in full flight would be a huge plus for the Cowboys’ offense.
Dak Prescott is also set to return, although he has suffered an injury early on in camp and his health is (appropriately) being managed with great caution by the training staff. With a superb offense full of weapons such as Ezekiel Elliott, Amari Cooper, and CeeDee Lamb, the play of Smith will be of utmost importance if Dallas wants to bounce back in 2021.
This is a good start for Smith, and it looks like the elbow issues and neck problems are behind him. The NFL season is right around the corner. Smith’s health and progression are things the Cowboys– and head coach Mike McCarthy– are banking on to anchor their offensive line.
