The summer transfer window is entering a crucial stage with less than two weeks until the major European league seasons begin.
With Jack Grealish is expected to move to the Etihad for £100m, will Kane follow?
Paul Pogba could be on the move though, but could delay his decision beyond this summer. PSG want him, while Mino Raiola has reportedly offered Pogba to Liverpool… cheeky. Should Pogba leave United, then Saul Niguez is a reported target – but Liverpool are also said to be interested.
Arsenal have made one big move in £50m Ben White, and want another in Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez. Hector Bellerin could be used as a makeweight.
Chelsea want Haaland or Romelu Lukaku to lead their attack, with Sevilla’s Jules Kounde their preference for a defender.
As for Liverpool, Manuel Locatelli, Youri Tielemans and Nicolo Barella are all targets with Jordan Henderson’s future unclear, while Trent Alexander-Arnold has signed a new four-year deal at Anfield.

Lautaro Martinez release clause expired
According to Calciomercato, Arsenal target Lautaro Martinez’s £95m release clause has expired.
The striker has a clause in his contract that allows him to leave for that but it reportedly expired on August 1.
Arsenal will now have to try negotiate a deal for Martinez, who they are said to be tracking this summer.
Arsenal monitor Abraham and Bruno
Arsenal are continuing to work hard in the transfer market and are interested in Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham but like other suitors, have been put off by his £40m asking price, writes Simon Collings.
Chelsea are expected to reduce that, which could entice Arsenal and West Ham into firming up their interest.
A move for Abraham, however, is also likely to be contingent on the Gunners shifting one, or both of, strikers Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah.
Arsenal have also been looking at signing a new central midfielder this summer, with Lyon midfielder Bruno Guimaraes the latest player linked to the club.
The Gunners have scouted the 23-year-old, and technical director Edu knows him from his time with Brazil, but as of yet there has been no official contact with Lyon.
Man Utd’s Haaland plan
Manchester United are confident no club will sign Erling Haaland this summer, Manchester Evening News report, and now have 12 months to convince him to join.
The 21-year-old is also wanted by Chelsea and practically every top club in Europe, with a clause in his contract making him available for £75m next summer.
Man City must pay £160m for Kane
Manchester City are not prepared to go beyond £120m for Harry Kane, despite Tottenham valuing the striker at £160m, reports the Star.
Kane is desperate for the move but his huge asking price looks set to thwart a summer exit, despite the player going on strike.
Chelsea’s Lukaku bid rejected
Chelsea have seen a bid worth £85m for Romelu Lukaku rejected by Inter Milan, Sky Italy report.
Left-back Marcos Alonso was also included in the offer.
Chelsea are expected to go back in with another bid, essentially ending that interest in Erling Haaland.
Man United boost in Trippier chase
Good news for Manchester United in their pursuit of Kieran Trippier?
The former Tottenham right-back is in the Red Devils’ sights this summer as they continue to upgrade Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad following deals for Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane.
According to Spanish publication AS, Atletico Madrid are targeting Roma’s Italian international Alessandro Florenzi as a replacement for Trippier.
Inter warn Chelsea: Lukaku will cost over €100m
More now on Chelsea’s attempts to bring Romelu Lukaku back to Stamford Bridge.
Reports suggest that the Blues have not given up hope of striking a deal to secure a return to the Premier League for the prolific Belgian striker.
However, according to Sky Sports, Lukaku’s current club Inter Milan have warned Chelsea that it will take a bid worth more than €100m to sign the 28-year-old.
Hart closing in on Celtic switch
Tottenham goalkeeper Joe Hart is reportedly set to undergo a medical at Celtic tomorrow ahead of joining the Scottish club on a three-year deal.
The 34-year-old has been in talks over a £1m move to Celtic after being pushed further down the pecking order at Spurs by the arrival of Pierluigi Gollini from Atalanta on loan.
Hart is keen to resume playing regular football and hopes to resurrect his career in Scotland.
Laporta: Messi talks progressing well
Barcelona president Joan Laporta has said talks with Lionel Messi over a new contract are progressing well.
Messi’s deal expired at the end of June and he is currently a free agent. Barca have reportedly offered him a new five-year contract on a reduced salary and Laporta said: “We’re doing everything possible, and it’s progressing well.
“It’s going in the line we all believed it would, within the scope we’ve got. We’re still in discussions.
“Leo wants to stay at Barca and we’ll do all we can. The fact his priority is to stay here, being the best player in the world, is something we should be thankful for.”
