NASCAR has wrapped up the regular season for its Truck Series and will now prepare for the August 20th launch of the 10-truck playoff. The playoffs begin on August 20th with the Gateway 200 at the World Wide Technology Raceway at Madison, Illinois and crowns a champion on November 5th at the Lucas Oil 150 in Avondale, Arizona at the Phoenix Raceway.
The circuit wrapped up its regular season on Saturday afternoon when Austin Hill won the United Rentals 176. It was Hill’s second win of the 2021 season and secured Hill second place in the playoff, two points ahead of Ben Rhodes.
The playoffs feature the top ten drivers following the regular season. The ten-driver field is listed below along with how the rest of the Truck Series standings finished up for the season.
The first roundof the playoffs will feature three races in Madison, Darlington, and Bristol. Two drivers will be eliminated after the Bristol race. There will then be three races in the Round of 8, after which four drivers will be eliminated. The playoffs will close with the Championship 4 finale at Phoenix Raceway to determine the series champion.
