How to Watch Little League Baseball World Series Regionals on August 5 | Stream, Start Times, Preview

Regional action continues on Friday, with the Midwest Region beginning play up in Indiana, while the first teams will be eliminated from the Southeast Region.

Keystone (FL) vs. Sylacauga (AL)

  • Time: 10 a.m. ET
  • Where: Little League Southeast Park (Warner Robins, Ga.)

The squad from Florida was unable to capitalize off an excellent pitching performance in their tournament opener against Taylors (SC) on Thursday. David Hill started strong, striking out in 3.2 innings. However, his team only amassed one run, before South Carolina came back with a pair of runs in the fifth, sending Keystone to the Elimination Bracket after the 2-1 loss. Cole Shearer scored the one run for Florida.

Sylacauga will be looking for their first of the tournament, after getting mercied by Nolensville (TN) on Thursday. The team from Alabama was not even able to get a baserunner, both things will have to change if they want to keep their season alive.

Bridgeport (WV) vs. Durham (NC)

The West Virginia side is hoping to have a better start with their season on the line. On Thursday against Harris County (GA), Bridgeport gave up nine runs in the opening inning. West Virginia was unable to bounce back, and ended up losing in four innings by a final score of 12-0.

Durham looked to be in comfortable position on Thursday, when JonLuke Harper hit a three-run home run in the fifth inning put them in front of South Riding (VA). However, Virginia quickly tied it up in the bottom-half of the frame, before scoring the winning run in the bottom of the sixth to pull out a 4-3 walk-off win. Harper ended the game going 2-3 at the plate.

Taylors (SC) vs. Nolensville (TN)

  • Where: Little League Southeast Park (Warner Robins, Ga.)

Nolensville played a perfect game against Sylacauga (AL) on Thursday. After jumping out in front 3-0 in the second inning, Tennessee kept the pedal to the medal, enough to come away with an 11-0, mercy-rule victory. The reason for the shutout was thanks to excellent pitching from William Satinoff and Josiah Porter. Neither pitcher allowed a baserunner, and Porter struck out all nine batters he faced. Lane Dever led the offense, going 2-3 with a pair of RBIs.

It looked as if Taylors was not going to get any offense going on Thursday against Keystone (FL), as they trailed 1-0 heading into the fifth. Yet, they rallied with RBIs from Cash Conner and Chase Hendrix, scoring Brooks Blanchard and Soup White, helping send South Carolina to a 2-1 win.

Harris County (GA) vs. South Riding (VA)

  • Time: 7 p.m. ET
  • Where: Little League Southeast Park (Warner Robins, Ga.)

Georgia’s offense came alive early on Thursday, potting nine runs in the top of the first against Bridgeport (WV). That helped send Georgia on a path to 12-0 win in four innings. Will Dimitri led the offense by going 3-3 with three RBIs and two runs scored.

South Riding had to play scrappy in order to get by Durham (NC) on Thursday. Virginia ended up with just two hits in the game, and despite jumping out in front 2-0, Durham quickly took the lead in the fifth inning with a trio of runs. Yet, South Riding tied the game, before an error allowed Will Perry to score the winning run in the bottom of the sixth to give Virginia the 4-3 victory. Evan Aguirre had a great start for South Riding, allowing just one hit, while striking out eight, in 4.1 innings.
