NBA DFS Picks Today: Monday, Feb. 6
Core Play of the Day — Giannis Antetokounmpo: Milwaukee Bucks-Portland Trail Blazers
Tonight is looking like it will be a chaotic mess with a veritable laundry list of stars and key players who are already listed as out. This includes Luka Doncic, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Kevin Porter Jr., Kyle Kuzma, Marcus Smart, Devin Vassell, Jusuf Nurkic and, of course, the ramifications of the pending Kyrie Irving trade. That makes Giannis Antetokounmpo by far the most appealing pay-up option in the player pool.
Antetokounmpo has been dealing with knee soreness; however, he should be seeing his full minutes tonight, with the Bucks having last played on Saturday and not taking the court again until Thursday. In his most recent seven games — after having sat out for a five-game span — the two-time NBA MVP is averaging 32.8 minutes and 23.9 field goal attempts with an otherworldly 60.5% conversion rate. He is also getting to the line 15.1 times per game, which is worth nearly 10 points to his scoring total. During this stretch, he has averaged 39.4 points, 14.7 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 1.0 combined blocks and steals. There will be plenty of discount dandies today, so do yourself a favor and make Antetokounmpo a core building block for your lineups.
Dallas Mavericks-Utah Jazz
Doncic is out with a foot injury and will be joining Maximilian Kleber (hamstring) and Davis Bertans (calf) on the sidelines. Spencer Dinwiddie and Dorian Finney-Smith have been traded to Brooklyn for Markieff Morris and Irving, but the return duo is unlikely to suit up tonight. On a positive news front, Christian Wood is nearing a return from his fractured thumb, and if he is in the starting lineup, we can pencil him in for 30 or so minutes.
The starters will be the better bets for the Mavericks, who should still have at least 10 available players. Rookie Jaden Hardy, veterans Tim Hardaway Jr. and Frank Ntilikina, along with youngster Josh Green appear to be the best bets in addition to Wood. Dwight Powell is also a viable option where he has power forward eligibility, but there are plenty of better point-per-dollar center options.
The Jazz project for 119.5 points tonight, which is just above their season average of 117.6, and they are double-digit home favorites. None of the Utah players are interesting on FanDuel, but Kelly Olynyk, Jordan Clarkson, Walker Kessler and Mike Conley can be sprinkled across DraftKings tournament portfolios.

Los Angeles Clippers-Brooklyn Nets
This is an island game for the Clippers, who won in overtime on Saturday against the Knicks, and it marks the final game of a six-stop road trip. Los Angeles has played a ridiculous 10 of 11 games on the road. Fortunately, they did not have far to travel with this game being in Brooklyn, and they have the benefit of being 7.5-point favorites over the Nets.
Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, Ivica Zubac, Marcus Morris Sr. and Norman Powell are all solid options on both DraftKings and FanDuel tonight.
Turning to the Nets, Seth Curry and Durant remain out, though Ben Simmons (knee) is close to a return, as is T.J. Warren. Even if Dinwiddie and Finney-Smith are available, Edmond Sumner, Cameron Thomas and Royce O’Neal should all see 30-ish minutes in the rotation. If Simmons remains out, Yuta Watanabe will enter the mix as a secondary value piece.
Additional NBA DFS Building Blocks Pick – Sports Betting Opportunities
Josh Giddey is an interesting option in the sports wagering market tonight with a 7.5 rebounds prop. The 20-year-old is averaging 8.0 rebounds this season, which is right in line with his career rate, and he also averages a strong 9.3 rebounds per 36 minutes. Additionally, he has exceeded this milestone in eight of his last 10 appearances.
NBA Bet Pro has Giddey projected for 8.9 rebounds tonight against the Warriors in Golden State. At -120 on BetMGM, this wager has a decent expected ROI of 7% and a 67% probability of success.

Sacramento Kings-Houston Rockets
Fantasy goodness should abound in this matchup, with both teams eschewing defense and preferring to push the pace. De’Aaron Fox has been away from the team attending to a personal matter, though if he is back, he becomes an outstanding option. Domantas Sabonis and the rest of the starters barely got to 25 minutes yesterday, as they were run out of the gym in New Orleans and the Pelicans had a cakewalk 136-104 victory.
If Fox is still out, please do not fall into the Davion Mitchell trap, particularly with all of the other discount dandies available. Kevin Huerter, Malik Monk and Harrison Barnes are all in play, regardless of Fox’s status.
Jalen Green and Alperen Sengun are the Houston players to target for the main slate. KJ Martin Jr. and Eric Gordon enter the conversation for the evening sub-slate.
