The Georgia Bulldogs enter the 2021 season with lofty expectations. They’re the media favorites to win the SEC East and some have the Bulldogs beating Alabama to win the SEC title.
There will be a lot of pressure on coach Kirby Smart to lead this team to the College Football Playoff, and the Bulldogs will face a huge game right out of the gates, taking on Clemson in Charlotte in Week 1.
So, can the Bulldogs handle the pressure and take care of business? ESPN’s Football Power Index (FPI) projected each of the Bulldogs’ regular-season games, and it has Georgia favored in all but 1, giving the Dawgs only a 28.7% chance to beat Clemson:
- Sept. 4 vs. Clemson: 28.7 percent chance of winning
- Sept. 11 vs. UAB: 93.9 percent chance of winning
- Sept. 18 vs. South Carolina: 93.1 percent chance of winning
- Sept. 25 at Vanderbilt: 95.7 percent chance of winning
- Oct. 2 vs. Arkansas: 87.5 percent chance of winning
- Oct. 9 at Auburn: 63.2 percent chance of winning
- Oct. 16 vs. Kentucky: 87.8 percent chance of winning
- Oct. 30 vs. Florida: 62.4 percent chance of winning
- Nov. 6 vs. Mizzou: 89.9 percent chance of winning
- Nov. 13 at Tennessee: 81.8 percent chance of winning
- Nov. 20 vs. Charleston Southern: 99.8 percent chance of winning
- Nov. 27 at Georgia Tech: 85.1 percent chance of winning
Can the Bulldogs live up to preseason expectations? We’ll find out starting on Sept. 4!
