Aric Almirola Starts Fifth At Atlanta On Sunday
53 mins agoAric Almirola ended up in the middle of eight Ford cars in the final group of qualifying on Saturday. That is not a bad thing as he starts Atlanta from the fifth position this Sunday afternoon. Almirola and his Stewart-Haas Racing Ford have enjoyed some solid results at super speedways. Again, Atlanta is still behaving like a 2.5-mile track with high bank and hard corners. The 1.54-mile course does wear a little as the race goes along. Last March, Almirola led a few laps and did finish sixth after Stage 2 before fading late to 22nd. Almirola learned his lessons in July and rose up to eighth at Atlanta. Keep that in mind.
